Wasiat Pemimpin Melayu
Malay Leaders Legacy
On 19–20 November 2026, Kuala Lumpur becomes a global meeting point for philosophy, Malay civilisation and Islamic heritage. Join scholars, leaders and thinkers from around the world for a conversation about knowledge, dignity and the legacies we choose to carry forward.
World Philosophy Day Malaysia brings together philosophers, scholars, leaders and thinkers in a shared space for dialogue on the ideas that shape society, civilisation and the human experience.
For 2026, the conversation turns towards the sustainability of Malay civilisation through philosophy — examining how knowledge, leadership, cultural memory and Islamic intellectual heritage can continue to inform the present and guide the future.
Ideas that question, examine and deepen our understanding.
The knowledge, values and institutions carried across generations.
The intellectual and cultural inheritance connecting past, present and future.

World Philosophy Day Malaysia 2026 honours the late Dato’ Philosopher D’Outreach Prof. Dr. Halo-N Badii’uzzaman, whose work placed Al-Quranic philosophy, ethical leadership and the dignity of human knowledge at the centre of public reflection.
His legacy gives particular meaning to this year’s theme, Wasiat Pemimpin Melayu. A testament is carried forward through responsibility: the responsibility to preserve knowledge, speak with moral courage and prepare the next generation to build with confidence.
Malay Leaders Legacy
The 2026 theme places the intellectual and moral legacy of Malay leadership at the centre of philosophical reflection. It invites us to consider leadership not only through positions of authority, but through the knowledge, values, responsibilities and principles passed from one generation to the next.
Through dialogue between philosophy, civilisation and heritage, World Philosophy Day Malaysia 2026 explores how these inheritances can be understood in the present and what they may offer to the generations that follow.
It is not wealth we inherit, but knowledge, dignity and direction for generations to come.
“Since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defences of peace must be constructed.”
Five areas of reflection frame the conversation around leadership, civilisation and the inheritance carried from one generation to the next.
Reflecting on stewardship, identity and the meaning of belonging to a homeland.
Examining how access to ideas shapes access to opportunity.
Rethinking prosperity through the lens of values, not just wealth.
Grounding leadership and civilisation in spiritual conviction.
Honouring heritage as a living, evolving inheritance.
Meet the philosophers, scholars and thought leaders shaping the conversation at World Philosophy Day Malaysia 2026.
Voices from the World Philosophical Forum join us from Malaysia, Russia, Greece, Ukraine, England, Peru, USA, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Brunei, Philippines, Thailand, India, Yemen, Pakistan Africa and Syria — bringing perspectives from across continents into dialogue with Malay thought.
