Please Read Before Proceeding
By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
Where you proceed with an event registration or payment through a third-party website, additional terms and policies governing that transaction may apply.
We encourage visitors and participants to review all relevant information and policies before registering for an event or completing a payment.
01. General Website Use
The World Philosophy Day Malaysia website provides information concerning World Philosophy Day celebrations, philosophical discussions, conferences, educational initiatives, cultural programmes and related activities.
The website is maintained under the responsibility of World Philosophical Forum Malaysia.
You agree to use this website for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others or interfere with the operation, security or accessibility of the website.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to website systems, databases, administrative facilities or other restricted services.
02. Information Published on the Website
WPF Malaysia endeavours to ensure that information published on this website is accurate, relevant and reasonably up to date.
However, event details and website information may be revised when necessary.
This may include changes to:
- Event dates and times
- Conference programmes and itineraries
- Speakers, presenters and invited delegates
- Venues and event locations
- Registration availability and fees
- Event activities and arrangements
- Participating organisations and collaborators
- Other administrative or operational details
Where material changes affect registered participants, the relevant organiser will make reasonable efforts to communicate the changes through appropriate channels.
03. Events, Conferences and Programmes
The website may promote conferences, seminars, philosophical discussions, cultural activities and other programmes organised or supported by WPF Malaysia and collaborating organisations.
Specific event details, including eligibility, fees, schedules, locations and participation requirements, will be published through the relevant event or registration pages where applicable.
Participants are responsible for reviewing the applicable information before registering or making travel and accommodation arrangements.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, expenses relating to travel, accommodation, transportation, personal arrangements and other incidental costs remain the responsibility of the individual participant.
04. Registration Through External Websites
Certain event registrations and related transactions may be facilitated through external websites.
For World Philosophy Day 2026, applicable conference registrations and payments are currently facilitated through Yayasan Gual Periok at https://yayasangualperiok.org.
When you access an external registration or checkout facility, your registration and payment may be governed by the terms and policies of that website and its authorised service providers.
WPF Malaysia may receive relevant participant information from the registration administrator for the purposes of event coordination, verification and administration.
Visitors should ensure that they are accessing the official registration link provided through the World Philosophy Day Malaysia website.
05. Registration Information
Participants are responsible for providing complete, accurate and current information during registration.
Depending on the event, required information may include:
- Full name
- Email address
- Contact number
- Country of residence
- Designation or professional title
- Organisation or affiliation
- Participant or delegate information
- Other details reasonably necessary for the event
Incorrect or incomplete registration information may result in difficulties with verification, communication or event administration.
Participants should notify the relevant registration administrator promptly if any submitted information requires correction.
06. Registration Fees and Payment
Where an event requires payment, the applicable registration fee will be displayed through the relevant registration or checkout facility before payment is completed.
Unless otherwise specified, prices displayed for Malaysian registrations or transactions may be expressed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).
Payments may be processed through authorised third-party payment service providers.
The creation of an order or submission of a registration form does not automatically constitute a confirmed registration.
For paid registrations, confirmation generally requires successful payment and verification or acknowledgement of the corresponding payment status by the registration administrator.
Registrations associated with pending, failed, declined, abandoned or cancelled payments may remain unconfirmed until the payment status has been resolved.
07. Registration and Payment Confirmation
Following successful registration and payment, participants may receive an acknowledgement, confirmation email, receipt or other notification from the registration administrator.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that the contact information provided is accurate and accessible.
If a payment has been completed but no confirmation has been received, participants should contact the relevant registration administrator or WPD administration team for assistance.
Relevant details, such as the participant’s name, registration information, transaction reference and payment date, may be required for verification.
Participants are encouraged to verify their payment status before attempting repeated payments.
08. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Registrations, cancellations, non-attendance, incorrect payments, duplicate transactions and organiser-initiated cancellations are subject to the applicable Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Unless otherwise specified, successfully completed registration payments are generally final and non-refundable for participant-initiated cancellations or withdrawals.
Exceptions may apply in circumstances expressly provided under the relevant policy or required by applicable law.
Where an event is cancelled entirely by the organiser, the applicable refund arrangements will be addressed under the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Participants should review the policy carefully before completing payment.
The Cancellation & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions where applicable.
09. Changes to Events and Programmes
WPF Malaysia and the relevant event organisers reserve the right to make reasonable changes to event arrangements where necessary.
These may include changes involving speakers, conference sessions, schedules, venues, formats, programme content or other operational arrangements.
Such changes will not automatically entitle participants to a refund.
Where material changes occur, reasonable efforts will be made to notify affected participants.
Any refund rights arising from a complete organiser-initiated event cancellation will be handled in accordance with the applicable Cancellation & Refund Policy and mandatory legal requirements.

The organiser may take appropriate action where a participant engages in unlawful, threatening, abusive, unsafe or seriously disruptive conduct.
Such action may include restricting participation or requesting that the individual leave the event, subject to applicable requirements.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website materials including text, graphics, logos, photographs, illustrations, documents, designs, publications and other content are owned by, licensed to or used with permission by WPF Malaysia or the relevant rights holders.
Visitors may access and view website content for lawful personal, educational or informational purposes.
Content must not be reproduced, modified, republished, distributed or commercially exploited without appropriate permission from the relevant rights holder, except as permitted under applicable law.
The names, logos and other identifying materials of participating organisations remain the property of their respective owners.
12. Speaker Presentations and Event Materials

Where an individual has a concern relating to identifiable photographs or recordings, the matter may be raised with the administration team.
14. Third-Party Websites and Services
This website may contain links to external websites, registration platforms, payment processors, accommodation providers, collaborators or other third-party services.
These external services may operate under separate terms, conditions and privacy policies.

Providing a link to an external website does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of all products, services or opinions offered through that website.
15. Website Availability and Technical Issues

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts any liability, remedy or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
17. Privacy and Personal Information
Personal information collected or processed by WPF Malaysia through this website and its activities will be handled in accordance with the World Philosophy Day Malaysia Privacy Policy and applicable requirements.
Where registration or payment is completed through Yayasan Gual Periok or another external provider, the applicable privacy practices of that organisation may also apply.
